My Freedom Story: Getting Rich with Mombo Sacco| #HappyJamhuriDay

“Jamhuri Day! On the day we honor the historic fight to become a free nation in 1963. #HappyJamhuriDay

But as I celebrate our country’s freedom, I also celebrate a quiet, lasting freedom I fought for and won: my own financial independence six years ago.” John Alex

Come let take you through my journey

1. The Problem: Money Controlled Me

For years, I earned good money, but I wasn’t really free. Every month was a struggle. Money came in, and then it quickly disappeared. I was always worried about surprise bills. Kenya was free, but my wallet felt trapped.

2. The Wake-Up Call: Freedom is Taken

Six years ago, on Jamhuri Day, I heard a leader say: “Freedom is not given; it is taken.” This hit me hard. I realized I had to fight my own personal war to take control of my money and build a secure future. That day, I started my fight.

3. How I Won My Personal Freedom

My plan was simple and focused on the long term:

Kill High-Cost Debt: I first declared war on my small, expensive, high-interest loans. Paying them off first was like breaking free from chains. It gave me the power to keep going.

Make a Plan (Budget): I created a simple financial map (my budget). Before, my money just wandered off. Now, I told every shilling exactly what to do. This plan brought peace and order.

Build a Shield (Emergency Fund): Next, I focused on safety. I saved money that I would not touch, my Emergency Fund. I saved enough to cover all my living costs for six months. This shield protects my freedom, even when bad things happen.

Plant Seeds for Growth (Mombo Sacco): Then came the way to grow my money safely. I found Mombo Sacco. I started putting money in regularly and buying shares. Mombo Sacco became the strong, steady place where my future wealth could grow. It’s consistent, helps me get smart loans, and gives good annual returns.

Use Patience: I had to stop buying things to feel good today. I chose long-term freedom tomorrow over quick pleasure today. Discipline is the secret to lasting wealth.

4. What Financial Freedom Feels Like

Today, my life is calm and strong. I don’t just have a job; I have assets that grow steadily. The money in Mombo Sacco shows me that my hard work is building a solid future.

On this Jamhuri Day, look at your own finances. Are you truly free? Make your own declaration of independence today. Start building your financial future, and make a Sacco like Mombo your partner in achieving that lasting freedom.

The fight is worth it. Happy Jamhuri Day!
