MOMBO SACCO, an online-based Savings and Credit Co-operative Society, is celebrating its 5th Anniversary. The SACCO has grown from a membership base of 10 at incorporation on the 20th February 2015, to the current membership base of over 500 from across Kenya and in the diaspora. In the years it has been in operation, MOMBO SACCO has more than trebled its asset base.

Since 2015, the SACCO has held 3 Annual General Meetings (AGMs). The AGMs are the main platforms through which the SACCO has adopted its resolutions, ratified and amended its By-Laws, approved its budgets, and elected its leadership. The other management organs of the SACCO are a 7-member Board of Directors, a Secretariat and a 3-member Supervisory Committee.

MOMBO SACCO has invested heavily in technology and has continued to digitize its operations. The innovative, efficient and easy-to-use MOMBO mobile application, the MOMBO App has revolutionized one of Kenya’s oldest financial sub-sectors, the SACCO movement.
